Was suppose to celebrate her birthday for 3 hours and then group study till 6.

XINHOON: NO. WE HAVE THE TREASURE HUNT!!!

Therefore. The treasure hunt was conducted.
In the end it was not that lame.
HAHHAA. She had 10 clues.

One of them was to find the 9 fishes in the house.
SHE WAS STARING RIGHT IN THAT DIRECTION AND COULDN'T SEE.

We were like in the background laughing till we ached!

This is the one of her looking right at it and not seeing.

We celebrated at my house.
The birthday girl got lost looking for it HAHHAA.
OH, AS FOR THE SHITTY DRESSING RIGHT,
WE HAD TO LET THE BDAY GIRL LOOK BEST :) :)

SO THE TREASURE HUNT STARTED. Finished it about half an hour.
While she looked for the "road to dreamland" clue, we ran downstairs to prepare her fav mango cake.
(She was blindfolded with toilet paper.)

Ytd, for some family day, we went to the club to watch changeling.

Dropped by adam's road for dinner.
Then I was plugged in with my mason's sexy soft caressing voice crooning Kelsey into my ears when I was rudely transported back to reality when this woman started inching closer and closer until she cut my queue!
The fact that I had a glazed expression doesn't mean I was engulfed in blissful oblivion to your fat butt cutting my queue.

Being the gracious Singaporean I am who at the same time is equipped with a forgiving nature,
I let her cut!
But of course I won't not say anything, I whipped out my phone and like messaged everyone
my pitiful story on how I was subjected to her um, ungracious act!

I came back to the table with my tray laden with the glorious glorious food and loudly exclaimed

a fraction of a second later, I caught side of her at the table next to ours.

National Day & random updates

To be different, is to stand when they sit.

Been busy of late, but hehehe well i am back.
With uh, a bout of illnesses which includes the following.
1. thunder-pitch-like cough
2. and thick phlemgh.
3. And feverish skin and spinning head/ throbbing headache.

BUT no fever!
(This is according to my stubborn forehead thermometer that refuses to concede defeat to my fire forehead!)
The readings flutuated btw 36.8 - 37.6.
37.6 when i attempted maths.

The dizziness started on friday after 3 sets of striding.
Felt like fainting.
I thought it was cus of that wind-embracing stride right across the track.

*cough.
It apparently isn't.
Because i did not stride my life away this morning!
Nor did i sleep-run.

Well, so anyway you all can still talk to me when i come to school with cough because i assure you with my sincrest conviction that Nicole does not have H1N1!

We just finished lit test today, hope i do well, studied quite hard! (For like 3.5 hours mugged totally yesterday!)

So after school, qixuan and i rushed thru informal letter writing, enlisting the help of wonderful marie halfway who inserted words like "eclectic" into our description of food!

I think sec one is gonna be the bomb of secondary school.
It's wasn't ever the same again last year or this year!

Not that this year not good, just not the same.
I am so glad i'm still friends with my recess buddiesss after like 2 and a half years?

I still remember how Marie and I would sit and at the back of class and get scolded everyday by miss chan wm.

Then there was this time we tried to take a picture of mrs kwan thru the acrylic bowl we made in d and t during english. Then the camera made this crrrrrrgk! sound and mrs kwan shouted across the glass.

I went bugis yesterday with mumm!
Walked around, shopped and stuff!
Decided to visit the new Iluma!
Yeah ok, I am that outdated. Haven't gone thr.

It's so huge!
But it was pretty empty.
It was dark too.
They were saving energy i think.
Huge patches of lights were switched off.

I saw this bikini shop there. (Bella Kimi)
It was so colorful and eye-catching!
But on second thought, i wouldn't step in there.

Outside all the shops in Iluma, there is this long bench.
AND GUESS WHO WERE SITTING THERE!

Some old dirty cheekopeks!
A whole row of them !!!
I mean so many available seats outside normal shops to sit and they pianpian have to sit outside the bikini shop.
It didn't help that the changing "room" was just one curtain that you pull across.
Bird's eye view from the bench into the whole shop ok.

I bet they were like waiting for the occasional billowing of the curtains and were trying to catch a glimpse!

Who would go in that shop can!
Actually there were people who went in.

Yuck!
How can you shop in peace, (for bikini somemore)

I went Sentosa today for no reason really.

The purpose was some foursome bonding.

Then that marie couldn't make it cus she needed to be a fillial granddaughter.

So fine, forgivable.

I wanted to wear my this pink shorts.

THEN ZOMG.

I COULDN'T FIT!

Good good.

But the bad thing was after the lotion was applied,

my whole body was sticky/oily!

Then some idiot went to kick sand on my tanning mat!

And i stupidly go dust it off with my lotion-fied hand to get it off the mat then

ON MY HAND.

Then i sat down to wash my sandy hands with some bottled water and i accidentally stretched out and

In the end, I was like some idiot down there trying to dust the sand off my hand and getting it stuck someone else (like my butt) .

Marley and Me

Three months ago, Jane lent me her Marley and me we had after a very heated discussion about the movie.

Truthfully, i didn't really touch the book except for skimming through some pages that didn't leave much of an impression.

How could i read anyway! Given the incoming tsunami of tests, i barely even had time for a hobby.

eg. rearing fish

Oh have i mentioned that i watched the movie?! I will never watch a sad movie with mum again i swear. She likes to say things like " It's just a dog", " Cry for what, everything dies sooner or later".

So in the end, not a single molecule of tear welled up in my eyes.

Because as I've mentioned,

"everything dies"

and it's not sad anymore because!!!

"it's just a dog"

(said in such an unsympathetic and nonchalant tone that would make me look stupid to cry over)

(and i don't usually cry for these mushy stuff)

Therefore, it didn't surprise me that Marie's "worst crying experience" movie and jane's "first book that made me cry"

DID NOT CAUSE ANY EMOTIONAL HEARTBREAK ON ME.

I'm like some steel hearted person omg why.

That changed yesterday at 1am.

Since it is holidays, I decided to start reading that neglected book.

I was at last few chapters that told the winter of Marley's life and it was foreboding his death.

The book made me laugh out loud at some of the things he did, and everybody will become attached in some way or another to that loopy dog.

Then the author...

kills it off.

And it's a happy ending fyi.

CAN YOU NOT CRY OR WHAT.

I wasn't crying the "ahh i'm pregnant honey!" celebratory cry for the uhm, happy ending , nor the "oh, yeah it's quite sad and (takes one tissue) dabs eyes" kind of cry

but like it was a

ragged gasps and "i can't breathe!" and "grow a tissue mountain", cry your eyes out kind of cry at 2am yesterday.

Or rather today.

I was so gripped by his death that i swore right then that i was lucky that I didn't know anyone or anything that died.

It was Josh Grogan's awesome writing skills! I love his book!

He dug out from the depths of my heart the sympathetic nature within me.

You see.

I do have that side.

Much Ado About Nothing / Class Party

I had the lit play on thursday, followed by class part.
Much ado about nothing was alright.

truthfully, i didn't really get the play.

Hate to admit it though.

Maybe they're bluffing, makes me feel better.

But i got the gist of the story, so it wasn't all that bad.
it was quite a traumatizing experience getting there.

Denise and I took public transport. First to J8 to get food.

Omg, we lugged like 4 NTUC plastic bags onto the train and then around city hall k!

Not to mention, holding my makeshift map in the other not quite so free hand.

We were like freaking dora the explorer.

Like you know with her bags and map and obstacles on the way!

And denise (girl guide somemore) brought me the wrong way and after 20mins, we walked a circle, a big circle,and ended up right at dhoby where we first started on our dora adventure.

LIKE FINALLY, we reached the place.

Fort Canning Park ok.

When we were about to go in to chope place, uou'll never never guess what.

THE CAMP WAS SO AWESOME.I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!THIS WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN SUCH A ROCKING SUCCESS WITHOUT YOU YOU YOU MY SEXY MOSCOW AND MONTRELLE DARLINGS :)

We won 3 out of 4 games of the dry rafting! Cool right! But lost the last game cus maybe all the groups wanted revenge? Haha, or smth. Nevertheless, it was so great cooperating together and chanting:

Today was such a joy.

I was with shiying, hanwen and rachy wachy.

you know, originally, it was we 4, qixuan and denise, nicole yue and joan.

Haha, then deedee decided to stay home with her mum and we thought qx and joan were going out tgh. Nicole yue had some other plans.

Been bogged down by tests after tests that I barely had time to switch on the comp.

I finally passed my first maths test of year 2009 on matrices, but am going to fail today's structured history essay Q. and bio.

On the shiny polished side of the rainbow, i have good friday and sat and sun to catch up!

& even shinier new news, my bio teacher is leaving soon.

I tell you. It's so horrible right! I rather live in denial than know that! UGGH. I actually did see a cockroach when brushing teeth. This made the visual especially intense when whoever mentioned the bloody insect.

I told Frances to change place, but it's like begging a wall. So, defeated, Zoey popped into sight and very assuringly told me

"I SLEEP HERE (the cockroach hole) OKAY? SO IF THE COCKROACH COME, IT'S ME FIRST!"

I felt better and snuggled into lousy makeshift bed while fingering weapon to defend thyself from crawly monster. That was at 11pm. From 11 to 1130, i would use my phone to shine at cockroach hole half hoping i see it now than later. I was fervently praying ok.

Damn tired and decided to drift off into wunderland at midnight. Checked to see whether Zoey was keeping vigilant.

THIS POST HAS A TITLE.

It started as a normal day...

Had to go home today (by bus!) since my mum would be busy.

Therefore, begged Jane to come with me. So we went to the bus stop opposite the school at ave 2 there. And waited and waited...

I then told jane i felt like drinking bubble tea. So cus the bus took so long, we decided to go hub and get it! And therefore we crossed back to the bus stop on the school's side. Just then the stupid bus decided to come.

So.

We waited again.

See! UGGGHHH.

When we reached hub, my mum called to tell me not to go home myself and since it's peak hour and the bus will be grossly packed, I should just wait for her there. Obviously i readily agreed.

& jane went home and i called yanyi to come to hub to spend time with me.

(stupid thief that stole her wallet)

I waited at the 269 bus place and was alertly looking for a seat. My bag that consisted on one student diary and calculator were killing my feet.

I saw one. And i smsed jane.

"I hate the stupid woman la. I'm like damn tired then that woman don't let me sit. Let her handbag sit."

Eyed her with distaste before scouting for other seats. Finally found a seat!!

After i sat down, I kind of felt the seat violently shaking and saw that i was sitting next to this old man who had some serious convulsions. He was blind so that kind of evoked sympathy in me and so i could tolerate the shaking a little.

Then he started scratching himself so hard that i almost felt the itch.

As yanyi took damn long to come, i had ample time to watch from the corner of my eye to see him progress from one finger scratch to three finger scratch to both hands scratching simultaneously. I'm not exaggerating!

I'm not done with my observations. The worst thing was he started letting loose monotonous chanting/ groaning sounds.

This time i felt kind of erm, scared. I was thinking if i should migrate but my legs and ren qing wouldn't let me. So mean to leave :( So i jian chi-ed xia qu.

I decided to sms jane to pass time!

"I'm sitting next to a man who keeps scratching. Omg, damn scary. [as in what if it is contagious???????? kind of scary] On my other side got this student who was staring at this chiobu k. Haha!"

Jane comforted me by telling me he won't want to look at me and some other stuff. (whatever!)

Descriptions of him continued.

I was in the middle of typing , "Like possessed like that. Omg but maybe he is ill- "

I was damn scared it it might be contagious. When he scratched, there was the kind of long nails scratching on thin skin kind of sound. eeekkksssss, milder version of nails on a blackboard.

I was feeling quite guilty about talking about him but at the same time, genuinely disturbed, so i was typing slowly, thinking how to phrase it in a "will not grate on your conscience way" then SUDDENLY!!!!!!!

HE GRABBED MY HAND and muttered "hello mam"

('mam' like how Philippine maids address their employee.)

bear in mind that i thought he was contagious somewhere, thought his murmurings disturbing, and was a teensy-bit afraid of sitting within such close proximity ( to the extent that i could hear the almost zero decibel mumbling so distinctly! )

So my first reaction was drop my phone and scream. (not really scream actually, but more like gasping so loudly that i threw my hands up and loud enough so that people turned to stare at me)

He was apparently taken aback by my reaction and profusely apologized. "sorry sorry sorry sorry did i scare you sorry sorry sorry!"

I was feeling guilty about smsing about him and him deciding to talk to me was... how to say...

Like if someone were to catch your with your hands in the cookie jar.

All he wanted was me to help him take the plaster box out of the plastic bag.

The tsunami of guilt from my extreme paranoia plus the inevitable mean streak in me popped my last bubble of humanity before spewing it into the back into the air "like confetti" (quote miss praba)

I took it with shaking hands, still recovering from the shock.

Took it out, fumbled a bit with the plaster and upon seeing that he could not possibly put the plaster on himself, i helped him! He asked me to put another plaster on top on the original one.

I suddenly remembered watching a show where the girl told the boy to put 2 salon pas thingy on top of each other as only then will the thing have a double effect. Retarded.

But i suppose his reason is erm, not that retarded. It might be so that it will stick longer?

Then i took his plaster waste and threw it away, thinking "it's not contagious 'cus the toilet is damn far away."

But it's not la. I'm ok now.

Sigh. I miss my old N73.

After enduring 2 years of absolute joy of being with me;

It has finally passed on when it refused to let me receive sms-es. Now i'm using some express music phone, which has NO english-chinese translation! :( (to you know you know during chinese!)

It dropped into laksa, fell on concrete floors, classroom floors, bathroom floors! almost into toilet bowl (which made my heart pound for 5minutes) and almost kena screwed by reversing car. It also boasted can-die photos of like so many people and die-for pictures of cough xxx cough! It had 800 plus photos k! So lovely:D

ALL HAIL CHINESE NEW YEAR!

My hands outstretched, and all ready!

I haven’t blogged for like… (this is maths).

So whatever, go count yourself.

Well, hardworking bee-ish me was studying really hard for a test y’knw!

Maths test.

Which I think I’m like gonna get 2 marks or something.

Hmph!

Hehe. Ok. I shall tell you about my improved housing conditions.

I’ve new curtains, and a new sofa (yes, again), and dining chairs and dining table.

Also, new pots of flowers and new positions of furniture that I can’t get used to and would somehow still occasionally walk into them.

If you diligently stalk my life, (you pervert)

You would know my family goes new-house scouting every Sunday. (My dad’s hobby)

My dad’s brain works in sporadic spurts of inspiration.

His initial theme for our dining room was WONDERFULLY WOODEN! So he got this solid wood table, w/o consulting anyone!

Nothing in the whole freaking house is wood!

It’s left at the left side of the house. But it sticks out like some “Ooooh, your storeroom no space ah?” The result would be him getting angry and insisting it’s not cheapskate and he would start describing the quality of wood.

Therefore now my house is ushering in the new year with this design that is officially named- RIGHT BRAIN LEFT BRAIN. “This is my right side brain creation and this is my left side brain creation!”

My curtains are blinds now, alternative to the traditional kind. It’s a kind of sunshade. It’s black for starters. So this already eliminates my Ahma from the “people who thinks it’s nice” federation. (ok, it’s federation cus it sounds much more impt than group) The rooms now have roman blinds. My preferred striped one ran out of stock, so I’ve this circle design instead. The only defect is that now that I’ve no blinds & I have to draw down the curtains. This makes my room dark and humid. But better than having a “ ni kan wo, wo kan ni” with my neighbour.

Yay, 3Purity! Hehe, class deco was great fun.

We had this play by huahui girls. I thought it was quite good ! And the ppt was funny in a “laugh at you” way. Wait, that’s not good. But I thought it was quite good!

We learnt how to collect money in our class after that. Cheok’s been collecting money for 3 days! So today I taught her how to use the

OWE $ PAY $ way!

and there was this ZHU TOU to scare ppl too!

I tell you tomorrow sure have full collection!

HAHA, I swear it was so funny. We with rachel, kim, denise and others started drawing all over the board (thank god it’s a white board) We had like so much fun, omg. HAHA.

Lijuan and Marie had library outing today! They went kino to choose books!

Cheok went home on bus 100 at like 630. After she left, we hopped on a train to orchard and walked there for awhile before i went to find my mum at taka and she to find her lost sister.

My feet was dead by the time i was home man.

but hehe, it was fun and lovely and everything nevertheless.

During the tea ceremony at their condo's function room, my granny was up first. While she was drinking, my auntie told her some dirty joke, AND SHE FREAKIN CHOKED ON HER TEA! Quite funny, she was like angry and laughing at the same time.

(There was this freaking buzzing sound just now and i swear i was so scared i didn't dare to type anything in case it was attracted by noise. It was so big!)

I went out with my mum to shop today. Her purpose was to have this foot reflexology with her friend and I tagged along for fun since she said I can't go out.

I'M NEVER GOING FOR ANOTHER FOOT MASSAGE AGAIN! They like avoided all the parts you want them to massage and squeezed the life out of my toes. DAMN PAIN K. The whole time i was screaming, "softer softer!"

Yesterday was fun! Went for this play at NUS. Wasn't very nice though, but the place was more grand than we expected it to be. Xh couldn't comeeee:( But she spent the whole day tgh with us at my house. And invading my privacy k. haha.

Marie kept complaining that we had to walk damn far in to reach. HAHA. Whatever. It's the IN thing now to walk! Lijuan wore heels to the play, then unglamly stripped them off.
